Pablo Fallabrino, Angel's Cuvée Ripasso 2019

Pablo Fallabrino is one of Uruguay’s most respected winemakers, known for championing the country’s vineyards and pushing the boundaries of traditional styles. With decades of experience both in Uruguay and internationally, he focuses on crafting wines that reflect the region’s maritime climate and diverse soils. This distinctive red is made from Tannat using a ripasso-style technique that adds extra depth and richness along with the 18 months in French oak. Intense aromas of black plum, blackberry and dark chocolate lead into flavours of ripe forest fruits, spice and subtle savoury notes. The palate is full-bodied with firm yet polished tannins, balanced by fresh acidity that keeps the wine structured and vibrant. Powerful but refined, it showcases a more layered and complex expression of Uruguay’s signature grape.
